Bedside Training
This course is designed for caregivers who will apply the sensor and attachment rings, choose the appropriate site time and sensor temperature, and manage the sensor following care.
After completing this course, you will be able to:
- Navigate the Sentec monitor interface
- Describe the functions of the Control Panel and Status Bar
- Name the approved measurement sites for patient monitoring
- Define the recommended sensor temperature and site time
- Demonstrate or describe the process for sensor application
- Explain how to clean and calibrate the sensor
Correlation Training
This course is designed for caregivers who will understand the relationship between perfusion and the correlation of tcPCO2 and PaCO2, what can impact the reading, and how to troubleshoot values that are not correlating.
After completing this course, you will be able to:
- Explain the main factors that can affect the tcPCO2 reading
- Troubleshoot inaccurate high and low tcPCO2 values
- Demonstrate when and how to set a baseline on the monitor
- Explain the concept of Relative Heating Power
- Describe the most common error messages and where to find more resources
Maintenance & Troubleshooting Training
This course is designed for team members who will be responsible for keeping the Sentec Transcutaneous Monitoring System running smoothly: cleaning procedures, membrane changes, and troubleshooting simple error messages.
After completing this course, you will be able to:
- Explain the membrane change interval
- Demonstrate or describe how to re-membrane the sensor
- Describe when and how to complete a Sensitivity Test
- Describe when and how to complete a clean and soak of the sensor
- Explain how to troubleshoot the three common error messages
V-STATS & Connectivity Training
This course is designed for sleep lab team members who will understand how to integrate the device into their PG/PSG systems, as well as download and create a report from the overnight data.
After completing this course, you will be able to:
- Explain how to connect the Sentec monitor to the PG/PSG systems
- Calibrate the PG/PSG system and the Sentec monitor and test the analog output
- Demonstrate how to connect to V-STATS
- Explain how to personalize, download, and save an overnight report
